One order, one report
A multispecialty group running its own laboratory also sent some testing to a national reference laboratory. Providers were ordering twice and reading two sets of reports. nuCARE worked with the group’s LIS vendor to build a single workflow: the physician places one order in the EMR, testing routes automatically to the right laboratory, and results from both return as one consolidated report in the patient chart. Because nuCARE had already built the vendor relationship and reference laboratory interface, the group paid no additional interface implementation cost.
Workflow optimization was also central to our urology practice and multispecialty group engagements,
reducing dependence on outside reference laboratories and streamlining specimen tracking and staff workflow.
